They are into their third generation of procreation and have governmental rights. "Therians" resulted from genetic mutations due to a virus and the anti-viral treatment of it. Review 2: This book is set in an alternate contemporary reality where shifters are fully out in society. I'm excited and a bit nervous to find out what happens in the next one, cause the dude they are going after is a friggin lunatic. I'm so glad I picked it up because it has been added to my best books ever list! It's not necessarily a cliffhanger but the story is definitely not over. more efore, I couldn't put it down because I HAD to know what happened next. This book was packed to the max with action and suspense. I'm hoping the next book brings more insight into that. We learned a little bit about Sloane's past, but not much. It makes me all warm and fuzzy knowing that everyone has each other's backs. I really enjoyed how their partnership progressed and how they had their issues to work out, but they eventually came together and learned how to work well with each other.
I also loved Sloane in all his broody glory. Dex is hysterical, I absolutely adore him. Luckily I was home and didn't have to worry about people looking at me like I was crazy.
There are so many feels! I laughed out loud a few times. This book was fantastic! I seriously could not put it down.
